About Us
Everyone has a box of old VHS tapes lying around somewhere. These tapes hold some of life’s most precious moments like baby’s first steps, family reunions, weddings and graduations. The sad truth is that these tapes have been degrading for the last 20+ years and it is critical to act now and convert them to digital format before it’s too late! Having a digital copy of these memories ensures ease of accessibility, sharing, and that they can be enjoyed by generations to come.
How it works
1. You mail in your VHS, Mini DV, or audio cassettes. (you pay shipping)
2. We digitize one tape and send you a proof via email.
3. If you’re satisfied, send your payment via Venmo or PayPal and we will complete the service.
4. When we’re done, we will mail back your tapes, as well as a flash drive with the digital files. *You can also request a cloud storage delivery via Google Drive or Dropbox at no additional cost.

The fine print:
We (PDX VHS) will do our best to ensure every customer is satisfied. We offer competitive pricing for those wanting to digitize their VHS, MiniDV, or audio cassettes in the Portland metro area. Once a price is agreed, we will send you a proof. If you are satisfied, we will complete the service and send your tapes back along with a flash-based storage device with the digital files. Once you (the customer) receives the files, we will delete all data from our system. PDX VHS is not responsible for existing damage to media. We will require you to submit a photo of the tapes prior to shipping. Every tape is visually inspected to ensure working order prior to digitization with our equipment. If a tape is not in acceptable condition, we will mail it back without digitizing and you will be refunded the amount for that tape. You must agree to these terms prior to shipping us anything.
